BREASTFEEDING CLASS
It is best to take one 8 weeks or fewer before your due date. It’s fine to take a class really close to your due date, but it’s possible you may miss it. Babies are due between 38-42 weeks and your due date is 40 weeks. Ideally it’s best to have a little break from information to give yourself a little time to enjoy the last couple of weeks before your new adventure begins.
This class is something your partner is welcome to come to. It provides an opportunity for expectant fathers/partners to ask questions and be a second set of ears to remind you of “things” that may be helpful when you’re in the thick of learning to care for your new baby.
Like any new skill, breastfeeding takes knowledge, practice and support to be successful. The following topics will be covered:

♥ How to establish a good milk supply
♥ How to get your baby to latch
♥ How to know if your baby is getting enough milk
♥ Positions for breastfeeding
♥ When and where to get help should you need it
